Makuri provides a range of chrome-moly and nickel-chrome-moly high strength low alloy (HSLA) steels to complement its range of manganese steels. These materials are liquid-quenched and through-hardened to provide a tough, wear resistant material that will exhibit similar wear properties throughout their full life.
The primary use of these materials is in gyratory crusher concaves, but they also find application in wear components subject to abrasive wear where there is not sufficient impact or pressure to induce the work hardening that gives manganese steel its long life.
